BARREL MEMBERS CLUB
In 2016 Spirit Hound launched our Barrel Membership Program. The program was fully subscribed and very successful. We have been asked many times since why we haven’t run the program again – well, now we are… with one significant change: as of 2025, the program will become a club, with members having access to exclusive benefits which are not available
to the public.
The Barrel
Spirit Hound Distillers produces hand crafted distilled spirits to mature and eventually bottle for sale in retail outlets and restaurants in Colorado and ultimately throughout the USA. Spirit Hound Distillers is offering to members the opportunity to join into a limited membership offer of a small number of 100% Colorado whisky barrels. This offer provides the member their very own 53-gallon barrel of Spirit Hound Distillers Colorado whisky and exclusive membership into a group of similar minded whisky connoisseurs.

MEMBERSHIP PERKS
Each member will receive the following benefits:
You will be provided a framed Club Member’s Certificate for you to proudly display
You will be added to our Barrel Club Member’s display in each of our Tasting Rooms
Your name will be displayed on the specific barrel that you are sponsoring
Upon barrel emptying and bottling of the aged whisky, you will be presented with an engraved barrel head featuring your name and the Spirit Hound logo
All Barrel Club members, plus one guest of member, are invited to 4 annual tastings with our master distiller in our newly created whisky library (value $200 per year, $800 over the life of the program)
All Barrel Club members will be awarded membership in our Whisky Guild while your barrel is aging, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of the Whisky Guild membership (value $150 per year, $600 over the life of the program)
Invitation for you and a guest each year of membership to one of our cocktail-making classes which are offered in both Lyons and Denver (value $120 per year, $480 over the life of the program)
One private distillery tour and tasting for you and up to 7 guests with our Master Distiller (value $480)
12 customized bottles from your barrel when the program ends. All members will be advised of the packaging schedule of their barrel and are invited to be a Volunteer Packager’ on that day for an opportunity for a ‘fill your own bottle’ experience (value $840)
Other special events, exclusive offers and invites over the course of the program -such as tastings from limited edition barrels.
These benefits provide members a value of more than $3200 over the course of the program.
FAQs
“How do I know my barrel exists?”
Barrels are identified with unique barrel numbers. Spirit Hound Distillers will audit your barrel annually to verify the barrels exist. Visit regularly and often!
“Can I visit my barrel while it is maturing?”
Absolutely. With advance notice (preferably) we can organize for you to view your barrel, have a taste of your whisky and have a tour of the distillery.
“Is my barrel insured?”
Yes, Spirit Hound Distillers will maintain a comprehensive liability insurance policy to cover the barrel(s) against fire, theft and spoilage.
Details of Membership
Your Barrel Club membership is paid in full at the start of membership. At the end of the program and upon the bottling of your barrel, you will receive payment covering your full membership fee plus a membership bonus equal to 15% of your membership fee.
